Oree Inc. – Advanced Illumination Solutions Oree is looking to enable the transfer of light and data in geometrically challenging environments with minimal loses. Oree is developing a set of unique, patent protected, proprietary enabling technologies for the creation of an elastic, high performance planar waveguide that enables easy and effective coupling of external light sources like LED’s, laser diodes, bare die LEDs and fiber optics. The basic technological component behind Oree’s innovation is the planar Flexible Light Guide (pFLG). Oree's pFLG is a highly efficient, polymer-based transparent sheet, thin (<300 microns), elastic (>500% elongation) with high transmission, capable of guiding and emitting light at designated areas in pre-defined patterns. Embedded Electro Optics technology (EEO) allows embedding light sources like LEDs and laser diodes into the pFLG, reducing significantly light losses at coupling point. The same technology applies when embedding electronics and electro-optics devices such as photodiode transceivers into the pFLG. Elastic Stripes Coupler (ESC) enables efficient coupling of multiple available light sources into the waveguide via a proprietary coupler made of the same materials as the waveguide itself. |
